Rail Car Incident Response

Saturday, July 21, 2018   (1-day course)

Chamberlain, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

This course is designed to increase the knowledge of first responders in recognizing and characterizing different types of rail cars, potential leaks, and courses of action to be taken based on initial site assessment. The training will increase participants’ knowledge of safety and hazardous conditions that may exist at the scene, and will allow them to become familiar with safe practices adopted by the railroad industry.

Audience: Personnel involved in the response of a rail incident, to include law enforcement, fire service, EMS, emergency management, public works, HazMat, and communications.

Prerequisites: None

 

A FEMA SID # is required to receive credit for the training.
