G366 Planning for the Needs of Children in Disasters – Pierre
Tuesday June 25th, 2024 (1-day course) 8:30 am – 5:00 pm CST
This course will provide participants with the information needed to address the unique needs of children prior to, during, and following disasters. Topics covered will include what the needs of children are, meeting children’s needs during a response, and helping children recover from disaster.
This course will also enable participants to improve their community’s Mitigation and Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), specifically regarding the needs of children.
Audience: All personnel involved in planning processes for or involving children, to include first responders, emergency managers, school or district administrators, and daycare personnel.
Prerequisites: None
Noteworthy: This course may be used by school faculty and administration as continuing education credits through the Department of Education.
Venue Information: You will receive specific training location information via e-mail when you have been approved to attend this course by the administrator. Please allow for up to 48 hours for this to occur.
You will receive specific class information via e-mail, approximately 5 days prior to class start.
To receive credit for training you must be present for the entire course.
