G358 Evacuation and Re-Entry

Monday, June 11 – Tuesday, June 12, 2018   (2-day course)

Pierre, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to design and implement an evacuation and re-entry plan for their jurisdictions. It uses a community’s vulnerability analysis and evacuation plan. Also addressed will be evacuation behavior and recommended methods to make evacuation and re-entry more efficient.

This course discusses evacuation principles for medium- to large-scale events, along with evacuation principles related to individual facilities, particularly as it relates to planning.

Audience: Persons responsible for planning, implementing, and carrying out evacuations within their jurisdiction or facility. This includes, but is not limited to, state and local government emergency managers, emergency planners, and response personnel.

Required prerequisites: None

***This course counts towards FEMA’s Advanced Professional Series (APS)***

Noteworthy: This class has been certified as 14 hrs. of continuing education for EMS providers.
