Campus Emergencies – Prevention, Response, and Recovery for Healthcare Facilities

Thursday, January 17, 2019   (1-day course)

Redfield, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

The purpose of this one-day course is to provide healthcare facility planning and response personnel with an ability to navigate difficult aspects of dealing with campus emergencies and active threat situations. Through an active shooter tabletop scenario, course participants will observe a developing incident and respond in a manner consistent with currently established campus and jurisdictional emergency operations procedures.

Healthcare infrastructures are encouraged to attend in groups made up of any of the following personnel: healthcare facility leadership, maintenance, security, and planning personnel. Bringing local law enforcement and emergency management would also be pertinent. Facilities are also encouraged to bring emergency plans and other relevant materials to use during the tabletop exercise.

All healthcare facilities are welcome to attend, to include hospitals, clinics, specialized care centers, and nursing homes.

Venue Information: You will receive specific training location information via e-mail when you have been approved to attend this course by the administrator. Please allow for up to 48 hours for this to occur.
