Tornado Awareness

Saturday, June 2, 2018   (1-day course)

8:30 am – 5:00 pm

This course from the National Disaster Preparedness Consortium is focused on helping participants better understand the basics of tornado science, the tornado warning process, and weather forecasting as a whole. This class will advise students on preparing for the tornado season by teaching them how to implement safety measures for themselves, their families, and organizations.

Audience: This course is open to first responders, emergency managers, public safety, public works, private sector personnel, and any member of the community who wishes to learn more about tornado science and preparedness.

Prerequisites: None

Noteworthy: This class has been certified as 8 hrs. of continuing education for EMS providers.

 

Venue Information: You will receive specific training location information via e-mail when you have been approved to attend this course by the administrator. Please allow for up to 48 hours for this to occur.
