Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) – L-0146 – Pierre

Wednesday, April 23, 2025 – Thursday, April 24, 2025  8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (CST)

**This course will be available in the NETC online registration menu starting Thursday, December 19, 2024.**

Students must apply through the NETC online registration system with their SID or PIV information and fill out application form ff-usfa-fy-21-101 found below.

The Head of Organizational Information is where the student enters the name and email address of the person who has been designated to endorse the application. Once the student clicks submit, the Head of the Sponsoring Organization has 14 days to respond to the request or it will be automatically rejected.  *Please add my name, Colleen Dryden, State Training Officer, as “Head of Organization” on the application, In that way it will go to me for approval so NETC admissions can then add you to the class roster.

During registration, students will need to upload their prerequisite IS-120c Introduction to Exercises certificate.

HSEEP is a consistent approach to capabilities-based exercise program management that uses a common methodology for designing, developing, conducting, and evaluating exercises to measure progress toward building, sustaining, and delivering core capabilities. The program is designed to encourage the use of national best practices, is adaptable to the needs of each jurisdiction regardless of size.

Audience: The target audience for this training are those involved in planning, budgeting management, design, development, conduct, and evaluation of exercises or those involved in the following roles at all levels of the planning process including:

  • Exercise Planning Team Leaders/Members who require a comprehensive understanding of the HSEEP Exercise Planning Cycle
  •  Controllers and Facilitators who are responsible for the successful control and conduct of an exercise
  • Evaluators who need to understand the evaluation processes; the supporting Core Capabilities and Exercise Evaluation Guides (EEGs); and be familiar with exercise conduct
  • Exercise Program Managers who require an understanding of the Program Management and Improvement Planning process
  • Senior Officials due to their responsibility for the continued operation of their assigned

Prerequisites: IS-120 (Required), IS-130 (Recommended)

Venue Information: You will receive specific training location information via e-mail when you have been approved to attend this course by the administrator. Please allow for up to 48 hours for this to occur.

**This course counts towards FEMA’s Advanced Professional Series (APS)
