Crisis Management for School-Based Incidents – Partnering with Rural Law Enforcement, First Responders, and Local School Systems

Sioux Falls, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
This course is intended to educate rural law enforcement personnel as well as school administrators and staff on how to effectively respond to an emergency involving a school building or an entire school system. The training will provide law enforcement departments with a foundation of knowledge and skills that will enable them work with school districts to progressively establish a school-based emergency response plan and crisis management team.
Audience: School district security stakeholders, to include school administrators/staff, emergency management, law enforcement, fire service, communications, and local leadership.
Noteworthy: This class has been certified as 7 hrs. of continuing education for EMS providers.
Prerequisites: None
A FEMA SID # is required to receive credit for the training.
