Active Shooter Workshop – Pierre

Tuesday, April 12th, 2022   (1-day in-person course)

 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

This work shop is designed to connect the gap between the first responder community, the business community and those who are served by both, the citizens. The workshop discusses both traditional preparedness and response, emergency procedures, reporting, managing the incident, and recovery. Recent world and US events will be discussed. Concepts in the workshop can be applied to any location including shopping centers, restaurants, places of worship, schools, large sporting events and soft areas outside of protected areas. The workshop emphasizes linking the first responder community to the whole community to be ready to face active threat situations.

Audience: The audience for this course includes first responders, school administrators, business owners or managers, house of worship facilitators, healthcare administrators, and any citizen interested in how active shooter situations are confronted by the response sector.
