G202 Debris Management

This course provides students with information on how to plan for, respond to, and recover from a major debris-generating event with emphasis on state, local, and tribal responsibilities. Developed from a pre-disaster planning perspective, the course includes organizing debris staff, compliance with laws and regulations, contracting procedures, site selection, volume-reduction methods, recycling, and special debris situations.
Audience: Any personnel responsible for planning or implementing debris removal/disposal actions, to include emergency management, first responders, public works, and waste management.
Prerequisites: None
Noteworthy: This class has been certified as 16 hrs. of continuing education for EMS providers.
