All Hazards Position Specific: L962 Planning Section Chief

Monday January 9th – Thursday January 12th, 2023 (4 Day Course)  Pierre, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Course Description

This course provides local- and state-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Planning Section Chief on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). These responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) managing the planning cycle, and 2) tracking resources and incident status. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable participants to process and apply their new knowledge.

Audience: Personnel who are regularly assigned to Functional, Support or Unit Leader positions on Type 3 or 4 AHIMTs, or by those person who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions.

Required Prerequisites: IS-100,200,700,800;ICS-300, 400

**Students must also register through the NETC online registration system with their SID or PIV information: and fill out application form ff-usfa-fy-21-101 found below and add my name as “Head of Organization” on the application, in that way it will go to me for approval before NETC admissions adds you to the class roster. Venue Information: You will receive specific training location information via e-mail when you have been approved to attend this course by the administrator. Please allow for up to 48 hours for this to occur.
